In the late 90’s, Ringquist discovered his vision-in-reverse, the ability to envision an image in verso and how the layers of paint would build from foreground to background resulting in a mirror- smooth surface with vibrant colors showing through. Reverse painting quickly became a focus. He found new inspiration in New York’s modern dance scene. He translated the recitals he saw into figures dancing in reverse across the backs of shiny plexiglas panels.

Kyle Ringquist’s work has been showcased in galleries in Palm Springs CA, Fort Lauderdale FL, Sarasota FL, Providence RI, New York City. This year, the Kyle Ringquist Gallery was awarded the Silver Award for best galleries on cape cod.

The artist can be found painting in his studio and gallery in Provincetown, at 349 Commercial street, painting and showing his work and accepting commissions based on his studies
